Ryan Mitchell, a senior at Davis Senior High in California, won the boys varsity large school race at the Tom Laythe Invitational by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:40.97 at the Willow Hills Course in Folsom, Calif. Mitchell, who produced the fastest boys 5-kilometer performance of the meet, helped Davis Senior take third overall with 115 points.
